Thymel is an interdisciplinary artist born in Lyon, France. Her practice spans painting, sculpture, conceptual couture, "lm, and performance. Rooted in material exploration and image-making, these elements are not separate disciplines, but parts of a constantly evolving language each medium informing, blurring, and intertwining with the others to create interconnected visual universes.

She grew up at a crossroads of cultures, a formation that became a school of seeing in itself. Her practice emerged from lived experience, material instinct, and the patient labour of her hands. She moves #uidly between stitched and layered surfaces, textiles and garments, sculpted forms, "lm, and performative gestures rediscovering what words could not yet hold. Her mixed media artworks were created in New York, where the city's density, energy and cultural multiplicity became an invisible material in her process shaping the works from within.
