BIO
Thymel is a hybrid artist born in Lyon, France. Her pratice spans painting, sculpture, conceptual couture, film, and performance. Rooted in material exploration and image-making, these elements are not seperate discilplines, but parts of a constantly evolving language, each medium informing, blurring, and intertwining with the others to create interconnected visual universes.
She grew up at a crossroads of cultures, a formation that become a school of seeing in itself. Her practice emerged from lived experience, material instinct, and the patient labor of her hands. She moves fluidly between stitched and layered surfaces, textiles and garments, sculpted forms, film, and performative
gestures, rediscovering what words could not yet hold, allowing each project to unfold its own structure beyond rigid categories.

The Practice
My work began with healing. For long time, the voice of my inner child remained silent.When it returned, quiet, insistent
almost a whisper, it asked for space, attention, and care. From this tender reconnection, a new world was born.
I build throught making: stitching, layering pigment, draping fabric, sculpting form, filming movement, performing presence, returning again and again to the same unresolved material questions. I follow what feels specific and lingering that haunts, a recurring shape, a gesture that refuses to fade.
Paint compresses time into a surface. Textiles and sculpture hold tension and volume. Conceptual couture shapes wearable and spatial presence with precision, and deeply intimate experience. Film captures rhythm and light. Performance brings the work into the living, breathing body.
I treat memory and identity as living materials, malleable and alive, shaped through process structure, gestureand care. My work bridges innocence and lucidity. Across multipe media, I allow subtle transformations carefum observation, and a freedom that was once silenced.I create spaces where innocence and clarity can finally coexist, side by side.
Mission
Thymel builds worlds where beauty is an act, love a material, and childhood a force. Her work moves through painting, sculpture, conceptual couture, film, and performance to awaken what time cannot reach, the living, feeling, and free part that sleeps inside each of us.
